JOOLS RIDDELL - SPEAKER

The Creativity Mindfuck

who told you you weren’t creative - and why did you believe them?

Talks that challenge the beliefs, expectations and unwritten rules that stop us thinking freely, expressing ourselves and showing up as who we really are.

What if everything you believed about creativity was a lie?

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that creativity was something other people had.

The talented ones. The artistic ones. The ones who could draw a decent horse.

But creativity isn't just about making art. It's about thinking differently, questioning assumptions, solving problems and having the confidence to try something without knowing whether you'll get it right.

The Creativity Mindfuck challenges the stories we've absorbed about our abilities, our identities and the rules we're expected to follow.

It's funny, thought-provoking and designed to leave audiences questioning something they thought they knew about themselves.

What will your audience take away?

A fresh perspective on creativity

understanding that creativity isn't reserved for artists, musicians or the supposedly talented.

Permission to question the rules

recognising the beliefs and expectations that have quietly limited their choices.

The confidence to think differently

becoming more willing to experiment, challenge assumptions and risk getting things wrong.

Something to think about long afterwards

a provocative question about who they might become if they stopped following instructions they never agreed to.

Different audiences. Same uncomfortable questions.

Businesses and workplaces

Challenging assumptions, encouraging fresh thinking and opening conversations about creativity and workplace culture.

Neurodivergent communities

Exploring masking, expectations, self-belief and the freedom to do things differently.

Conferences and events

A funny, thought-provoking talk that challenges conventional ideas about creativity and identity.

Creative and personal development groups

Questioning the inner critic and rediscovering the confidence to experiment.

Meet Jools Riddell

I'm an author, artist, clinical hypnotherapist and late-diagnosed AuDHD woman with a lifelong habit of questioning the rules.

My career has taken me through art, education, community projects and working with people who've been told, in one way or another, that they don't quite fit.

Being diagnosed with ADHD and autism at 59 gave me an entirely new perspective on identity, creativity and the expectations we spend our lives trying to meet.

Now I bring those experiences together in talks that mix humour, personal stories and some fairly uncomfortable questions about the things we've been taught to believe.

Bring The Creativity Mindfuck to your event.

Whether you're organising a conference, workplace event, community gathering or something a little less conventional, let's talk.
